It’s been a month of purpose-driven connections and collaborations that seemingly fell into place. There has been no greater joy than building this community of like-minded folks like yourself, and the more I think about it, the more I realize it will always be quality over quantity for us.
Speaking of connections, in this month’s edition of the Chai Break Substack, we would like to introduce, a like-minded, talented South Asian writer and speaker, who I had the pleasure of connecting with right here on the Substack “Office-Hours” thread!
Meet, Brina Patel, a Northern California-based writer and speaker. She has profiled and interviewed South Asian entrepreneurs, mental health professionals, and creators in Business Insider, Well+Good, Verywell Mind, and Brown Girl Magazine. She writes the Substack newsletter, The Tuesday Tapestry, which explores mental health, relationships, culture, creativity, and travel.
Right after we connected, she emailed me about how much she enjoyed our podcast and offered to give us a shoutout in her bi-weekly newsletter.
In a world where competition often reigns supreme, there's something truly magical about the power of women supporting women. Our community is built on our mantra - “Your Vibe, Your Tribe”. Together, we’re here to create a space where every voice is heard, every idea is valued, and every woman is empowered to thrive.
On that note, watch this little video of our girls, Diya (Shwetha’s daughter) and Ananya (Rema’s daughter) we shared earlier this week to mark International Women’s Day!
PS: When women support women, incredible things happen!
Season 3, Episode 6:
Beyond the Bump, Maternal Mental Health
with Shruti Bharath
Shruti and I go way back, we met early on in our career and I distinctly remember hitting it off instantly. Apart from the common zodiac sign (Virgo), what struck me about her is her drive to make a difference, and create impact.
Fast forward to 2023, Shruti and I caught up over the summer. I remember it being a blend of the pure joy of being reunited and long conversations around our passion projects, motherhood, and more. At that moment, I started to think about how I could bring her initiative and unique voice to this platform, and sure enough Season 3 of the podcast unfolded, and I knew that Maternal Mental Health is something that both Rema and I wanted to talk about, hence the synergy with Shruti’s venture, “Beyond the Bump”
