It’s been 6 months since I launched this monthly newsletter. To the 100 subscribers, while the number might seem small, to me it is 100 meaningful connections. This includes friends and family(Dad, thank you for being my biggest cheerleader, xoxo), others who’ve known found Chai Break via social media, and some of you who’ve been guests on the podcast. We’re growing, slowly but surely! So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Before you dive in, listen to my march musings…
I had the pleasure of being a guest on Sunaina Sharma’s Podcast, Peaceful Zen Talks, where we talked about what success means, what I’ve learned from my parenting journey and so much more.
If you’ve listened to the podcast from its early days, you know that sustainable living is one of our core mantras. We believe that not everyone can do everything but each of us can do something positive to contribute to the health of our planet. So, here are my top favorite recommendations.
One of our earliest episodes, a 3-part series in which we had in-depth #chaiversations about our experience growing up in India, where sustainable living was woven into the fabric of our everyday lives, how you can make small changes in your life and household to do your part and who are the changemakers leading the way.
On Season 2 of the podcast, we had the pleasure to share an insightful #chaiversation with climate activist and founder of Tega Collective, Niha Elety. The brand works with a small group of Adivasi (indigenous) artisans in the Southern Indian State of Telangana.
If there has ever been a time for planet-friendly gifting, it is now! Even better, when it is a woman-owned, planet-positive initiative like Greenr Gifts, by Prateeksha Chandraghatgi
“ We created Greenr Gifts to turn the joy of gifting into a force for environmental good. Our vision is to make sustainable gifting the norm, not the exception, enabling individuals and businesses alike to celebrate special moments while investing in the health and future of our Earth.”
PS: Mother’s Day is May 12th!
"I absolutely love listening to Chai Break Podcast! As a South Asian woman living abroad, it's refreshing to hear conversations that resonate with my experiences. The topics are always relevant, and the hosts bring such warmth and authenticity to each episode. Keep up the fantastic work!" - Priya S., London
If you’ve enjoyed our newsletter, please consider sharing this with your like-minded friends. We’re building a tight-knit community of listeners from across the globe; chances are other South Asian women like you might be interested in the kind of #chaiversations we’re having.
